DJ Bijal Debuts Brooklyns Hotel BPM Brooklyn is about to get a whole lot cooler. Hotel BPM, a 75-room, lifestyle hotel themed around all things music, is in the last stages of construction and is expected to open in early 2012. Located in the Sunset Park area of Brooklyn, Hotel BPM (Beats per Minute) is the brainchild of DJ Bijal, aka Mr. Everywhere.  The twenty-something is best known for his own syndicated radio show on Sirius Satellite Radio and the numerous mix tapes he has released over the years. Now this visionary is ready to take his brand to the next level.

“I was thinking to myself one day, how else can I expand my brand even further?” says DJ Bijal who’s been djing since he was in middle school. “I’m always in and out of hotels because I travel for my djing, so I thought, I would love to have a hotel that has everything I love. A hotel that was like made just for me.” And so he did.DJ Bijal Debuts Brooklyns Hotel BPM

Dj Bijal has been involved in every aspect of the boutique hotel including designing the furniture that will outfit the rooms. Each room is expected to have modern platform beds with custom BPM brand mattresses, nightstands and dressers. Keurig coffeemakers and energy-saving light sensors are also standard as are the Gilchrist & Soames Beekind bath products, HDTVs, Porcelanosa marble showers, free Wifi and full soundproofing.

To add to the music-inspired concept and to keep within the DJ Bijal brand, each month the DJ will personally compile an atmosphere-centric playlist that will stream throughout the hotel from the public spaces all the way to the bathrooms. Guests have the luxury of requesting specific songs through the hotel’s website and Facebook. The hotel will also carry a wide selection of music magazines.

The hotel is planning a lounge with a cool, sexy vibe that will serve drinks and light fare while the rooftop is slated for larger parties and private events.

“This hotel is a lifestyle hotel and I expect it be an overall brand where, down the line, we can expand though our own annual events, like a BPM concert every year under the Brooklyn Bridge, to hosting music workshops and being a popular place for entities like Fuse or MTV to hold events. I want it to be a social hub for all things music.”

And the music community is already taking notice with people like New York’s HOT 97 DJ Enuff already putting in a booking as a hotel guest. DJ Bijal and his team are currently in the midst of planning a celebrity-packed launch party as the opening date inches closer.

Hotel rates are slated to be $189 per night with advanced booking rates at a smooth $139 in honor of the property’s street address. With the building of the new Barclay’s Center (the future home of the Brooklyn Nets) nearby, and easy access to many subway lines, we think Dj Bijal may just have a “Hit” on his hands.
