The Jorge Vega Umana Spring/Summer 2015 Collection featured well-tailored sleek daytime pieces, feminine cocktail dresses, alongside alluring silhouettes for evening. Inspired by modern glamorous women around the globe, Jorge creates finely-crafted pieces that work from day to night. Couture touches were included in the designs with special prints featuring the national Nicaraguan flower – an overall Frangipani motif that creates light and movement.
Jorge Vega Umana’s design aesthetic is informed by global cultures, his love of travel and the female form with an emphasis on color, proportion and refinement. The stage for Spring/Summer was set by modern neutrals in a color palette of wheat, sage, sorbet and alabaster accented by touches of onyx and frangipani violet. The collection exuded elegance, femininity and chic sophistication. A portion of the proceeds of the Spring/Summer 2015 collection will be donated to ANF (American Nicaraguan Foundation) to aid impoverished Nicaraguan children and families.
