The Women of Mahabharata
Discovering Ganesh
IFFLA: Fine directors get together in Mumbai Cutting
Art

The production aimed to share the stories of those women within the acclaimed tale of the Mahabharata, whom audiences and readers worldwide have rarely had a chance to learn about. These stories are set as flashbacks of these women’s lives. The character of Draupadi was played by Qurrat Ann Kadwani who who put on a splendid performance as the wife to all five of the Pandav brothers. The show included graceful dance scenes and beautiful monologues. The cast of women playing these characters was largely multi-cultural which affirms the global attraction of the wonderful epic of the Mahabharata. The show's script was adapted by Wallace Dorian and was directed by Johanathan Warman.

While this performance was showing in New York City for only a month, certainly do look out for it at a stage near you in the future.  It is one performance that you don’t want to miss!
