New York, NY (April 12, 2010): Renowned wedding dress designer Rani Totman debuted her Fall 2010 collections at a private runway show at Jumeirah Essex Hotel. During the event, Rani showcased a range of gowns from her new collections for St. Pucchi Couture, Sposa by St. Pucchi and Avine Perucci for a packed house of media and VIP guests.

For the spring runway, Rani showcased a total of 22 gowns, pulling new looks from all three St. Pucchi collections: eight gowns from St. Pucchi Couture, seven from Sposa and seven dresses from Avine Perucci. Opening the show, Rani sent a breathtaking gown from the St. Pucchi Couture collection down the catwalk. The strapless, silk duchess satin ball gown with sweetheart neckline and drop waist included a crystallized beaded bodice against a backdrop of lattice embroidery and seed pearls.

Common looks seen on the St. Pucchi runway this season included delicate laces, intricate embroideries of Swarovski crystals, pearls and beads, and subtle touches of their signature colors. Inspired by the beautiful architecture of Europe, where Rani spent the last year traveling, and 16th century fashions when the corset was donned by the elite and aristocratic women, the collection includes a variety of structured bodices with boning and corset backs to accentuate the feminine form, a style Rani says flatters every figure. To balance this, Rani paired the richer looks with airy and light fabrics, such as silk dupioni with Tulle, lace with silk organdy, and duchess satin with ricamo net.

For the finale, a strapless ball gown from the Avine Perucci collection stole the show, making a statement both from the front and the back. The gown, designed with a silk dupioni bodice, featured soft layers of net ruffles at the scoop neckline giving the dress subtle sophistication and flare from the front. The look was completed with crystal motifs and lace flowing down to the waist and a large bouquet of silk flowers at the back embedded in swirls of tulle with velvet streamers floating down the side emphasized the look from behind for an awe-inspiring last look moment.

“I’m thrilled to finally share these new designs with the world,” states Rani. “My new collections maintain the signature St. Pucchi craftsmanship and color but I strived this season to capture the fantasy and splendor of past societies and the beauty of nature, culture and history I saw throughout my travels.”
