April 29, 2007, Houston: Bibi Magazine hosted its Eighth International Bridal Show at the newly renovated Houston Marriott Medical Center. Thirty of the top vendors in the South Asian wedding industry were present to provide the 400 plus guests with all the resources for planning their special day.
This Bibi Bridal Show was a one-stop shop for planning a South Asian shaadi. The Marriott’s Ballroom was overflowing with decorators, caterers, hair and makeup artists, henna, artists, photographers, videographers, djs, jewelers, bridal boutiques, wedding consultants and much more. Zeb Mamsa of Bibi Magazine stated, "We are in the business of weddings and bringing the brides and the vendors together is what we do best!"

Brides and Grooms had an abundance of choices for their wedding and had a chance to conveniently meet with the top echelon of vendors all under one roof. Each company represented at the event had a distinct style and a creative edge displaying modern, traditional, and fusion trends. Many of the wedding vendors pride themselves on creating one-of-a-kind decorations, jewelry, and bridal wear. Kanak of Mandap Creations said, "If a bride wants any custom work done, we can make it happen. Getting several vendors under one roof competing for the same business is good for the bride."
Bibi’s Bridal Show furthermore featured three designer bridal fashions show which were the highlight of the day. New York City’s Attache Boutique showcased the latest in bridal trends by Indian designers Tarun Tahiliani and Malini Ramini. Attache flaunted its most elaborate bridal saris and lehngas paired with D’ Fashion House’s stunning costume jewelry. Carmaa Boutique exhibited glamorous Indian and Bangali saris in silks and chiffons. Sehba’s Collection displayed its enchanting evening wear for the upcoming spring and summer wedding season. Along with the runway show, Dhol Beats International rocked the stage with an energetic Bhangra dance performance.
Soniya of The Original Henna Company said, "Bibi's Bridal show features an eclectic group of upscale and renowned vendors from the Houston and other areas. As a prominent Henna Artist, I understand how important it is for brides to meet with all vendors, but that can sometimes get difficult due to lack of time or busy schedules. This is one of the reasons why brides should absolutely come to the Bibi's Bridal Show as this show brings all the best of the best wedding related vendors in one arena. I am sure that brides will be met and greeted by vendors that were perhaps originally on their lists. This show not only allows brides and their families to reserve the vendors, but also guides them towards successful wedding planning. As an afterthought, perhaps the show should be named "Bibi Magazine's Bridal Stress Reliever Show."
Bibi’s Bridal Show was more than beneficial for the brides, grooms and the couple’s parents attending. Not only did they sample delicious appetizers from Madras Pavilion and chocolate deserts from Fountains of Chocolate, many brides walked away with henna painted hands and a head start in their planning with great discounts, planning tools, guidance and fun door prizes.
The intimate, boutique style Bibi Bridal Show is hosted bi-annually every April and October. The show brings culture, innovative designs, and tips to Houston brides. Planning a wedding has become easier than ever now with the newly re-launched BibiMagazine.com; a couple’s complete wedding planning resource.
