Salman Khan is the latest Bollywood star to be cast in wax at Madame Tussauds’ colorful and interactive Bollywood Zone. Now in New York City, the Salman Khan’s wax figure stands alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.
Salman Khan is one of Bollywood’s most renowned actors, having appeared in the highest grossing film eight separate years during his career. He burst onto the scene with his award-performance in Maine Pyar Kiya in 1989, which won him a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. His latest film, Bodyguard, has become the second highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time. In 2004, People magazine named Khan the seventh best-looking man in the world.
Khan’s wax figure – dressed in jeans and a black sleeveless shirt that he personally chose and donated to the attraction – will be on display at Madame Tussauds New York through October.
Madame Tussauds New York’s “Bollywood Zone” is a brightly-colored, fully-interactive exhibit designed to evoke the look and feel of Hindi Cinema and celebrate its greatest stars.
