Gaga for India! It seems that Lady Gaga is falling big for India, Indian celebrities and Indian designers. The journey started back in April with Indian composers Salim-Sulaiman producing a remix of Gaga’s smash, “Born This Way” for the very lucrative South Asian market.

She followed up the success with an October trip that had her cozying up to the likes of Shah Rukh Khan for a one-on-one interview that will be aired on Indian TV later this month. The flamboyant star also gifted King Khan’s daughter Suhana, her sunglasses to which SRK tweeted, “Lady Gaga is all heart and soul. Gave me her glasses for my daughter. yippeee..brownie points unlimited.”

At a Formula One Grand Prix afterparty held at Arjun Rampal’s Lap Bar, Gaga performed an Indian fusion version of her Born This Way single, “Marry the Night,” in a demure white dress accented with a phallic-looking microphone.Gaga for India!

Gaga’s visit included a press conference at the Taj Mansingh Hotel, New Delhi, where she wore a Naeem Khan gown with her hair dyed to match the colors of the Indian flag. Later she shopped at local markets and included a stop to an orphanage for HIV-positive children, dressed, well, rather normal.

A few days later, at the recent MTV European Music Awards, Gaga’s outlandish flying saucer outfit was designed by Manish Arora for Paco Rabanne where he has recently been named Creative Director.

The popstar also wore a metallic Manish Arora for Paco Rabanne dressed accessorized with an armful of MTV EMA gong awards.

She signed off her India trip by tweeting, ‘Screw Hollywood. It’s all about Bollywood.’ We couldn’t agree more.
