5 First Date Ice Breakers!

So you finally landed that coveted first date with the hottie you’ve been eyeing up for weeks. You’ve decided on a meeting place, figured out your most alluring outfit and now, just hours away from the Big Event, you’re breaking out in hives wondering what exactly the two of you will talk about. Relax! First date conversation is as easy as Googling some your favorite topics. Here, we give you 5 icebreakers that will portray you as the intelligent and sexy woman you are.

1. Holidays and Special Occasions. Whether it be Mother’s Day or Memorial Day, ask your date what he has done in past and perhaps share some funny anecdotes about your own special occasions.  Remember Uncle Sam’s crazy dance routine last summer? His Bolly Bhangra is perfect ice breaking fodder for you. Go ahead and ask his future plans, but be careful that your questions don’t seem like an interrogation.

2. Current Events. It’s easy to stay current by visiting some of your favorite news sites. Read up on politics, human interest stories or, if you know what your date’s interests are, find a point or two from those that you can discuss.

3. Entertainment. Did you recently see an interesting movie or play? Maybe there is something about to open which you want to see. Have your answers ready before the date so that you can easily discuss these topics. Who knows, you may even score a second date…at the movies.

4. Ask A Lot of Questions. Politely of course. Show genuine interest in your date, after all men love nothing more than to talk about themselves. Let him lead the conversation with you adding in interesting stories. By the end of the date he will feel like a God, and the next day, he’ll realize he knows nothing about you…and will initiate date number two.

5. Smile, smile, smile. Have a great time and don’t worry so much about what he thinks of you. Smiling and laughter are infectious, so enjoy yourself, be at ease and he will undoubtedly mirror your great attitude! After all, if he doesn’t find you interesting by the end of the evening, then he doesn’t deserve a second chance.
